The Cereus jamacaru is a tall, columnar cactus native to Brazil, famous for its upright growth, ribbed stems, and dramatic nighttime blooms. In the wild, it can reach tree-like proportions, but in pots it grows more slowly and is prized for its sculptural, architectural form.
