A private space in downtown Butler for showers, parties, and whatever you’re celebrating.
The Basics
The Root Cellar is available for private events for $600, which includes exclusive use of the space for a 5-hour time slot.
Time slots:
- 10 AM – 3 PM
- 4 PM – 9 PM
A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your date. The remaining balance is due the day of your event.
You’re welcome to bring your own food and drinks. We do not have any restrictions on catering or beverages.
Capacity
The space can accommodate up to 75 guests total.
- Seated events: up to 50 guests
- Cocktail-style events: up to 75 guests
What’s Included
Your rental includes:
- Tables, chairs, and white linens
- Centerpieces
- Built-in bar
- Kitchenette
- 2 Unisex restrooms
- Children’s playroom
- Rear alley entrance (wheelchair accessible)
- Projector and screen
Optional Add-Ons
We offer a few simple favor options if you’d like to include something for your guests:
- Air plants — $1 each
- Wildflower seed packets (“Let Love Grow”) — $2 each
- 2" nursery plants — $3 each
- 2" potted plants in white terracotta — $5 each
- Plant Bar add-on — $10 per person (guests create their own arrangement upstairs in the Secret Garden)
Before You Book
- Your 5-hour rental includes both setup and tear-down time
- Tables, chairs, linens, and centerpieces will be ready when you arrive
- You’re responsible for bringing any additional decor, food, or personal items
- At the end of your event, simply take what you brought — we handle general cleanup
Street parking is available, and the Tier Garage on W Cunningham St offers free parking on evenings and weekends.
If you’d like to see the space ahead of time, you’re welcome to stop by during business hours. Weekdays are usually the easiest.
Quick Rules
- No confetti of any kind (including table confetti, balloons, poppers, or biodegradable confetti)
- Events must end within your reserved time slot
- All personal items must be removed at the end of your booking
- The person booking the event is responsible for their guests
