Peanut Cactus (Echinopsis chamaecereus)

Peanut Cactus is a cheerful, low-growing cactus known for its clustered, finger-like stems that resemble peanuts spilling outward as it matures. The bright green stems are covered in small, soft-looking spines, giving the plant lots of texture without an overly aggressive feel. Naturally spreading and slightly trailing, it looks great in shallow pots, bowls, or hanging planters.

When happy, Peanut Cactus really steals the show in spring and early summer, producing large, vibrant blooms in shades of red, orange, or coral that seem oversized compared to the plant itself.

Care Tips:
☀️ Light: Bright light to full sun; strong light encourages flowering
💧 Water: Water sparingly; allow soil to dry out completely between waterings
🌫 Humidity: Prefers low humidity
❄️ Temperature: Thrives in warm temps (65–90°F); can tolerate cooler temps if kept dry
🐾 Pet Friendly: Yes (But spines can cause injury)

Fun Fact:
Despite its small size, Peanut Cactus can produce blooms nearly as large as the plant itself—and often in impressive numbers 🌺🌵
