The Root Cellar 🌿

A private event venue in the heart of downtown Butler, perfect for bridal showers, baby showers, birthdays, celebrations, and getting everyone together.

Bring your favorite food, stock the bar with your favorite drinks, and make the space your own. We'll have the tables, chairs, linens, and centerpieces ready when you arrive, so you can focus on celebrating!

The Basics

Private Rental: $600

Your rental includes exclusive use of the Root Cellar for a five-hour time slot.

Choose Your Time:

• Daytime: 10 AM – 3 PM
• Evening: 4 PM – 9 PM

A $100 non-refundable deposit reserves your date and is applied toward your rental total. The remaining $500 is due the day of your event.

Your five hours include time to decorate, celebrate, and gather your belongings afterward.

Make It Your Own

One of the best parts of the Root Cellar? You get to celebrate your way!

Bring your own food, drinks, and decorations. Choose your favorite caterer, order pizza, put together a grazing table, or bring Grandma's famous cookies.

We're a BYOB venue, so you're welcome to bring your own alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages, too.

No required caterers, beverage packages, or outside vendor restrictions.

Capacity

The Root Cellar can accommodate up to 75 guests, depending on your event setup.

• Dinner Seated style: Up to 50 guests
• Cocktail-style: Additional 25 guests

Whether you're planning a seated shower or a more casual gathering, the space offers plenty of flexibility for your celebration.

We've taken care of the essentials so you don't have to!

Your rental includes:

• Two unisex restrooms
• Children's playroom
• Projector and screen
• Wheelchair-accessible rear entrance with ramp access

Everything is included in your $600 rental. No need to bring your own tables, rent linens, or arrange the basics.

• Air Plants: $1 Each
• Wildflower "Let Love Grow" Seed Packets: $2 Each
• 2" Plants: $3 Each
• 2" Plants in White terracotta: $4 Each
• Plant Bar Add-On: $10 per person
  • Give your guests a little hands-on fun! Guests can create their own plant arrangement upstairs in our Secret Garden.

We want you to enjoy every minute of your celebration! Here's what to keep in mind when planning your event.

Decorate Away!

Bring your own decorations and personal touches. We just ask that you use removable adhesives, avoid open flames, and leave the confetti at home.

Enjoy Every Minute

Your five-hour rental includes setup, celebration, and time to gather your belongings. Please plan to have all guests and personal items out by the end of your reserved time slot so we can prepare the space for the next celebration.

We'll Handle the Cleaning

When the party's over, simply gather your decorations, leftover food, and personal belongings, and place trash in the designated bins. We'll take care of the general cleaning!

Parking

Street parking is available nearby, and the Tier Garage on W Cunningham St offers free parking on evenings and weekends.
