6" Philodendron Florida Ghost

Philodendron Florida Ghost (Philodendron ‘Florida Ghost’)

Philodendron Florida Ghost is a stunning tropical climbing plant known for its uniquely shaped, deeply lobed leaves and incredible color-changing foliage. New leaves often emerge a beautiful ghostly white or pale mint green before gradually transitioning through shades of green as they mature. The contrast between its pale new growth and darker mature leaves creates an eye-catching display that's constantly changing.

This unusual Philodendron is a natural climber that loves having a moss pole or other support to grow upward. As it matures, its leaves develop their signature elongated, multi-lobed shape, giving it a bold, architectural appearance. Bright, indirect light helps encourage those beautiful pale leaves, while consistent warmth and moderate humidity keep it growing happily. It's an excellent choice for collectors looking for something a little different!

Care Tips:
☀️ Light: Bright, indirect light is ideal, sufficient light helps encourage pale new growth. Avoid harsh direct sunlight
💧 Water: Allow the top 1 to 2 inches of soil to dry between waterings, use a well-draining, chunky potting mix
🌫 Humidity: Appreciates moderate to high humidity, ideally 50% or higher
❄️ Temperature: Prefers temperatures around 65 to 85°F, protect from cold drafts and temperatures below 55°F
🐾 Pet Friendly: No
⭐ Rare: Yes

Fun Fact:
Unlike plants with permanent white variegation, Florida Ghost produces pale new leaves that gradually develop more chlorophyll as they mature. Those ghostly white leaves aren't necessarily going to stay white forever! The plant is constantly changing its appearance as new growth emerges. 👻🌿
