8" Majesty Palm

Majesty Palm (Ravenea rivularis)

Bring a little tropical paradise indoors with the Majesty Palm! This beautiful palm features long, graceful fronds filled with slender, feathery green leaflets that create a lush, elegant appearance. Its naturally arching foliage makes it a gorgeous statement plant for living rooms, offices, entryways, and anywhere that could use a little extra greenery.

Native to Madagascar, Majesty Palms naturally grow in moist areas near rivers and streams, which explains their love of consistent moisture and humidity. Unlike some drought-tolerant palms, Majesty Palms prefer not to dry out completely between waterings. Give them plenty of bright light, regular watering, and a little extra humidity, and they'll reward you with beautiful tropical foliage. They're also pet friendly, making them a wonderful option for homes with cats and dogs!

Care Tips:
☀️ Light: Bright, indirect light is ideal, with some gentle direct morning sunlight beneficial. Not recommended for low-light spaces
💧 Water: Water when the top inch of soil begins to dry. Keep soil evenly moist but never soggy, and avoid allowing the plant to dry out completely
🌫 Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity, ideally 50% or higher. A humidifier can help prevent brown, crispy leaf tips
❄️ Temperature: Prefers 65 to 85°F. Protect from cold drafts and temperatures below 55°F
🐾 Pet Friendly: Yes, non-toxic to cats and dogs
⭐ Rare: No

Fun Fact:
In its native Madagascar, the Majesty Palm can grow over 80 feet tall! Fortunately, it grows much more slowly indoors. Its botanical name, Ravenea rivularis, refers to its natural habitat along rivers and waterways. This palm really does come from a place where keeping its feet a little damp is normal! 🌴
