4" Argentine Saguaro

Argentine Saguaro (Echinopsis terscheckii)

Argentine Saguaro, also known as Argentine Giant or Cardón Grande, is an impressive columnar cactus with thick, blue-green stems, prominent ribs, and clusters of golden to brown spines. Its tall, branching growth gives it the classic desert silhouette of a Saguaro, although it's actually a completely different cactus native to South America.

It's a hardy, low-maintenance cactus that thrives with lots of sunshine, excellent drainage, and plenty of time to dry between waterings.

Care Tips:
☀️ Light: Bright light to full sun, several hours of direct sunlight is ideal
💧 Water: Allow soil to dry completely between waterings, reduce watering significantly during winter
🌫 Humidity: Prefers dry conditions and good airflow
❄️ Temperature: Thrives in warm conditions, protect container-grown plants from hard freezes
🐾 Pet Friendly: Yes, but sharp spines can cause injury
⭐ Rare: Yes

Fun Fact:
Despite its name, Argentine Saguaro isn't a true Saguaro. It gets the nickname because mature plants develop a similar towering, branched appearance, and in its native habitat it can eventually grow more than 30 feet tall. 🌵
