Albo Pothos (Epipremnum pinnatum ‘Albo-Variegata’)
Albo Pothos is a striking climbing aroid with elongated green leaves splashed, streaked, and marbled with creamy white variegation. Every leaf develops its own unique pattern, making new growth especially fun to watch. Give it something to climb and, as it matures, the leaves can become significantly larger and develop dramatic fenestrations.
Despite its common name, this isn't the typical pothos species, Epipremnum aureum. It's a variegated form of Epipremnum pinnatum, making “Albo Pothos” a convenient retail name rather than its most precise botanical description.
Care Tips:
☀️ Light: Bright, indirect light is best for maintaining strong variegation
💧 Water: Allow the top 1 to 2 inches of soil to dry between waterings, avoid soggy soil
🌫 Humidity: Average household humidity is fine, appreciates moderate to high humidity
❄️ Temperature: Thrives around 65 to 85°F, protect from cold drafts
🐾 Pet Friendly: No
⭐ Rare: Yes
Fun Fact:
When allowed to climb, mature Epipremnum pinnatum can look completely different from the juvenile plant, producing much larger leaves with deep splits and fenestrations. 🌿🤍
