6" Silver Dollar Fern

Silver Dollar Fern (Pellaea rotundifolia)

Silver Dollar Fern, also known as Button Fern, is a charming little fern with rounded, deep green leaflets that grow along slender, arching stems. Its coin-shaped foliage gives it a delicate, whimsical appearance, making it a beautiful choice for shelves, tabletops, hanging planters, or smaller plant collections.

Unlike many ferns that demand constantly damp conditions, Silver Dollar Fern prefers a little breathing room between waterings. Its compact growth and relatively easygoing nature make it a great option for plant lovers who want the look of a fern without quite as much fuss.

Care Tips:
☀️ Light: Medium to bright, indirect light, avoid harsh direct sun
💧 Water: Allow the upper portion of the soil to dry slightly between waterings, avoid soggy soil
🌫 Humidity: Appreciates moderate humidity but tolerates average household conditions better than many ferns
❄️ Temperature: Prefers temperatures around 60 to 80°F, protect from cold drafts
🐾 Pet Friendly: Yes
⭐ Rare: No

Fun Fact:
Silver Dollar Fern is native to New Zealand and Australia, where it can grow in rocky areas and forest environments. Those adorable little round leaves might look delicate, but this fern is tougher than it lets on. 🌿🪙
